Howard P. Wills

Dr. Howard Wills is a Senior Scientist at Juniper Gardens Children’s Project (JGCP) and a Professor in the Educational Psychology Department at the University of Kansas (KU). He received his doctoral training at KU and also has an M.B.A. from KU. His current research interests include evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions for students with challenging behavior. He also develops and evaluates classroom engagement interventions and technology based self-monitoring to support children and adults with disabilities. Over 25 years at JGCP, Dr. Wills has been fortunate to have been Principal or Co-Principal Investigator for over $79 million in competitive external grant funding. This work has been carried out with colleagues across the country and has been widely published. Among his current projects, Dr. Wills is leading work to scale up the classroom engagement intervention of CW-FIT.
