Biography

Dr. Lindsey Mirielli is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Juniper Gardens Children’s Project (JGCP) in the Life Span Institute. She received her Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Missouri. Dr. Mirielli is an early career scholar with an interest in supporting secondary students with behavioral concerns in the general education setting. Her research focuses on investigating universal social skills instruction for secondary students, including students with disabilities and students at-risk for social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Given her years of experience as a high school special education teacher, her research focuses on supporting educators in embedding interventions and supports within the daily curriculum to increase students’ social competence.
