Biography —
Michaela Parisi is a Research Project Coordinator at Juniper Gardens Children’s Project (JGCP) and serves as a National Trainer and Coordinator of CW-FIT. Michaela joined JGCP in May of 2024, and prior to joining the JGCP team Michaela taught high school IB French, Civic Leadership, and was a Gifted Education Facilitator. Michaela received her B.A. in French and M.A.E. in Foreign Language Education (French K-12) from Truman State University. She holds teaching certifications in French (K-12), Gifted and Talented Education (K-12), and Special Education (K-12). Michaela is currently a doctoral candidate in the University of Missouri – Kansas City’s interdisciplinary Ph.D. program with a primary discipline of Curriculum and Instruction and a co-discipline of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Foundations. Her research interests include classroom languaging practices for social justice, motivation of exceptional learners, and transformational educational leadership.
